Hunter College has one of the most prestigious MFA programs in the United States. Many artists who have graduated from the program go on to national and international success. The MFA thesis exhibition at Hunter is one of the most widely anticipated of all the New York City graduating shows and it is heavily attended by the city’s art world elite. The culmination of up to three years intensive research and development, for many artists it is the platform that they have been working toward to launch their professional careers.
